Spike Lee’s Immersive Exhibit Comes to the Brooklyn Museum

This fall, legendary filmmaker, New York Knicks fan and Brooklyn ambassador, Spike Lee will be installing an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. “Creative Sources” will feature a variety of objects from his personal collection and items that properly showcase his inspiration throughout Brooklyn culture, sports, cinema and Black history.

The notable museum will feature over 300 items displayed thematically in seven sections, all will also include a clip Spike Lee’s movies. Artwork by prominent Black American artist such as Kehinde Wiley and Deborah Roberts will be included, in addition to sports and movie memorabilia. As a trusted fan of the New York Knicks and Yankees, you can definitely expect to see some historic moments within the installation. Lee’s impact behind the camera lens is a profound example of how his personal inspiration led to his impactful storytelling.

Lee’s Creative Sources installation will be on display at the Brooklyn Museum from October 7th, 2023 - February 4th, 2024.
